Doesn’t everyone know by now. Dell lays off every quarter. The only reason you are hearing about it now is because the number is larger than usual.

True... Very True:

I’ve been through a few and in a few weeks things will settle. Could very well be different for different groups! But the changes I’ve experienced have all been minor. Small shifts in focus and support.

From my experience changes will be phased in and you won’t really notice. Have you been through a mass layoff before?

In 2023 there will be three layoffs. The first one just happened, the second one will start as the recession starts, sometimes in June... The last one will be in October as a last ditched attempt to improve numbers before the year closes.

This is my gut feeling, I have no insider info.
