Anyone care to share severance package details?
Also is it possible to volunteer to be laid off?

Also is it possible to volunteer to be laid off?
I was not layed off but terminated post the layoff's. The entire quandary started 3 weeks post the July - August layoff's. My Manager made sure that every other Friday he called HR and suddenly on a call with Security and HR (HR didn't even speak, and I only spoke to him (my manager) 2x in 6 weeks for about 2 minutes each time, the last time, HR called me 1 minute later with security on the phone (Planned?)). Now DELL isn't looking to lay people off but terminate them without a severance for 15 years of service to save even more money.
Anybody know what the repay terms are if rehired with a headhunting agency? Terms said some or all severance to be repaid if rehired within a year. Unsure what the repay table/terms are since not listed in severance package details, very vague. Unemployment is about to run out and scraping by as is.
Dell does not payout accrued vacation, unless the state you live in requires it.
Do they pay out unused vacation?
Can anyone say if there is a clause in the severance agreement to withdraw any Data Subject Access requests in the UK?
is the severence 2 months + notice period pay + 1 week for each year of service ???
I want to know if notice period (1 month for I6) will be paid out in addition to the severence package ??
appreciate any information on this.
"For me it was one months salary at full OTE and car allowance for each year served, that is standard in the UK."
I think that the total compensation is capped at the equivalent of one years pay, so if you had, say, 20 years service - you would not get 20 x 1 months salary.
Well as I got over £90k severance I think you are incorrect.
During a previous layoff with no voluntary option, I asked for a co-worker and the Director said they needed to have a “Frank and open discussion with their manager”. That person did get a package as requested. They were in the verge of retirement at the time
18 months of Cobra or health insurance is federally required in the USA. You get to keep paying out of your own pocket for the whole amount of your health insurance cost for limit of 18 months after you are separated from the company if you choose to do so.
You are not getting "free" or reduced cost health insurance for 18 months.

Probably a miscommunication. Laid off workers can get up to 18 months of COBRA.

The US gets 18 months health insurance? Is that a typo?
The severance package includes two months' pay plus an extra week for each year in Dell's employ, a bonus at 75 percent, health insurance for 18 months in the U.S. and some outplacement services at least stateside.

in the States, my benefits ended on my last official day at 5PM, then Cobra kicked in. Received 2 months Cobra (which is nothing) 2 months salary plus 1 week for every year. Was in one check so tons of taxes

anybody know how long they supplement benefits ?
i would image they round up.
if 3.5 they count it as 4y
What would be the severance for those of us that have not yet been at Dell for one full year?
"I got laid off in Sept...and still havent found a job"
It's anecdoctal.
you still being here may have something to do with your situation

What segment did you get hit from in September?
2 months + one week for every year of employment was standard the last round of layoffs.
Be careful what you wish for....I got laid off in Sept and still have not found a job...the market is flooded with IT people
