When do you think branch closures will be announced? Also what do you think will happen to ABMs at Union bank?

I do believe we already know which offices are closing on the UB side based on equipment upgrades.
"I thought all CRC levels were hybrid teller/banker and only CRC4s were allowed to do a handful of operational things."
crc 3 and 4 are hybrid teller/bankers too with some managerial access. (i.e. higher transaction/approval limits). it might be different with the acquisition in that abm may be converted to crc 3 or 4 vs applying when they eliminated the abm at us bank years ago. also, all crc levels can do operational things. it's not restricted to any 1 particular group.
Union bank ABM are equivalent to lead teller at any other bank. They don't know sales and don't want to do sales. Seems like bankers are getting shafted in this deal
“My peers reapplied as a CRC 3 or CRC 4, which is a hybrid role between ABM/banker.”
I thought all CRC levels were hybrid teller/banker and only CRC4s were allowed to do a handful of operational things.
As a current USB employee that went through the transition phase when the ABM role was eliminated, my peers reapplied as a CRC 3 or CRC 4, which is a hybrid role between ABM/banker. Some were able to renegotiate higher wages. Branch managers and DM had an idea who the non-performing/complacent ABM were so they didnt get hired back.
My manager said we should know by March which branches will be closing. There are also clues, like how close you are to an existing US Bank branch (within 3 miles is considered redundant) and your branch conversion calendar. If your branch is going to convert that calendar should be pretty full right now. Branches with nothing scheduled at this point will most likely be cut, because US Bank isn’t going to invest in signage and equipment installations for branches it will shutter by June.
What’s unfortunate is that I’m hearing absolutely no severance offers, just an offer to relocate us to a branch within 50 miles of our current branch (insane). If we say no we’re out with no severance and no unemployment. Thanks, USB.
