@2bmr: spoken like a true Chevron “leader”. i like how you (in typical CVX-manager style) lazily copied and pasted the same post in the resenting chevron thread. do you really think we are that ignorant? Thank you for demonstrating the very toxicity we speak of having in the walls of chevron. Thank you for demonstrating the very laziness that we have in leadership and management here in chevron. The internet needs to see the cesspool swamp of a culture that employees have to endure here. Why would we involve HR or a manager in these concerns when they are the very root cause of it all? something’s got to change. yes there’s a lot of griping on these threads but there’s also way too much common themes to ignore. an independent assessment needs to be conducted by the board of directors…there’s too much similar frustration and hopelessness going around. We deserve better.

2bmr: what a bunch of HR horse$hit, like my direct report has any more clients e than I on company plan… let alone my local HR rep! The real info in this town halls could be addressed in a short email and the rest in to make Sr. management feel important with a shallow attempt to act responsive to the rank and file.

It's not uncommon for companies to hold town hall meetings to communicate with employees and provide updates on the business. While these meetings may be carefully planned and choreographed to some extent, the goal is typically to provide useful information and address important issues. If you have specific concerns or questions that you feel were not addressed during the meeting, it may be appropriate to reach out to a manager or HR representative to discuss them further. It's important for employees to feel heard and valued, and for the company to be transparent and responsive to their needs and concerns.

Usual choreographed TH ignoring the tough issues, promoting peripheral gains, and answering clearly orchestrated questions from diversity candidates and high-pots. This would make great "reality show" stuff on Hulu or Netflix.

2 hours of my life I wasted doing something else on. These over choreographed, disingenuous and self serving town halls are a complete waste of time so I went to Wendy's to enjoy some french toast sticks instead.

Do you think such events are partly tests for finding the next CEO?

Do the board members review the video and critique performance?

Funny how MW says we have great growth potential just weeks after giving guidance of 0-3% production growth. Wow! Thats some dynamic growth.

During work hours, this is where the CVX employees who know that they are on the chopping block congregate and waste time doing nothing, that's why it's called thelayoff.com. Hence, their fate is guaranteed.

I cannot believe MW had the nerve to speak so strongly about delivering results in the face of the recent CIP following the backlash on this - tone deaf. Yes, the fatalities are heartbreaking. Yet, executives LTIP PAYOUT does not get dinged for fatalities BUT our CIP does. WTF??? We went through 2+ years of he-l, a one time extra thank you was warranted in these financial good times - but hey, $75 Billion must have drained the coffers for any love back to the employees……

That was the most odd TH under MW. First, the awkward fist bump between MN and MW (WTF?)……Then, the competition of who could say the most amongst the 3 figure heads (JG clearly wanted to talk the most, even when the question was not directed to him). Finally, the TEAMING thread became monotonous and a love fest - not authentic at all.

Soooooo, it seemed that NH and EB were not buying the crock of sh&t that JG was spewing about teaming. CNE has been notorious to date for working in a silo, behind closed curtains and driving towards controlling anything related to low carbon. Lots of turf battles already underway with various OPG up and downstream business units to date……
