Aero R&O Olathe Kansas -Just announced Mandatory OT starting 2/13/23

Barely got off mandatory OT from last year and it’s starting again.
Lack of parts, continue parts shortages will not be offset by 25 percent.
Somebody must already be panicking about their 1st quarter bonus.

We’re on year 5 of 58hrs/week in HPT-Smart Energy in Nebraska City. Worked 21 days straight including Sundays leading up to Christmas Eve. No regard for work life balance. Yet they wonder why they can’t get people through the door.

Don't look for an exact date for the closure of Cedar Creek -- just be aware that the decision has been made and that the implementation is fluid. Negotiations of this magnitude take time and go back and forth. It doesn't matter what perhaps good-intentioned interim management types say to the contrary as they are not on MD's/SK's need to know list.

Other variables that can change the timeline are economic conditions that affect revenue, political ramifications of offshoring US business, and the introduction of the Panasonic manuf. plant coming on line in 2024.

The talent brain-drain continues to this day, and in talking with coworkers who admit they are exiting, it will only get worse as 2023 progresses. Although management will try to keep the ship afloat to meet their goals, don't expect cost-of-living increases that will keep up with inflation. Plan accordingly...

Not really a big deal if you already average 40% OT throughout the year, and take time off to enjoy your hobbies and travelling when you need to get away.
It's called work life balance. And if you do it right, you can enjoy life, with the ability to afford it.

It’s going to be nonstop overtime rest of year if it took overtime last year to make goals.
Shortage of employees in techs really hurts getting repairs out.
More employees will quit with nonstop overtime combined with low yearly raises.

I wish OT offer extends to production people to offset the cost of eggs

Remember back to 2020 when we were forced to work 25% OT to make Q1 goals and once they were reached they took away our raises! They don't call it April Fool's Day for nothing!

Good, you guys need it. Hopefully it’s 12 hours a day. You can even volunteer for holidays.

I figured since I work for a prison. I might as well apply for a prison job. Now I have an interview for a prison job. It’s a state job with benefits or should we say great benefits. One of the interview questions will be if you ever worked with difficult people or negative people. Yes! It’s called Honeywell Inc.

Maybe we can jump ship and hop aboard the USS Panasonic or USS Garmin and set sail to calmer seas .

With the price of whale oil going up, you would think raises would be more than 2 percent for the ship mates. Aye Aye

You know that the average raise for R&O workerbees will come in again at under 2%.
Time to implement Operation Quiet Quitting...

Last quarter set a record for Aero Olathe's whaling revenue, but never forget that fledgling "Rear" Admiral Ahab SK still has his quarters onboard the Pequod! Cap'n TP was brought aboard by Ahab SK to scuttle the ship in case there is a mutiny.

Scuttlebutt is that Admiral MadDog of the Phoenix is trying to filet the Aero Pequod for all it's worth before the remains of the rotting carcass are parted out to another whaler or offshored.
