Manager Probs

My manager is constantly embarrassing and humiliating me when I ask for clarification and/or assistance. My coworkers have also noticed that my manager talks to me this way too. Is anyone else having this problem?

Yes, I have seen that practice. HR always supports management.

Nature of the beast- M&A to show revenue growth not organic growth. Human capital is never in the criteria. Management hiring based on nepotism. Promotion is based on tenure not necessary based on skill set or experience to align with modern day technology. Most outdated technology and out of compliance ..

It sounds like you have a bad manager. Typically managers are like this because they either can't manage, or has a personal problem with you. It sucks, and you shouldn't have to.. but you either have to win them over to your side or leave. HR is there to prevent law suits to the company, not help you.

I recommend looking for another opportunity in or outside the organization, it's not a good fit.

Common problem and HR will be zero help. I witnessed and reported gender and blatant racial discrimination with numerous incidents from the same managet and it was shuffled around and closed after 6 months. UHG and Optum are so lawyered up your only option is get out.

Instead of posting, you may want to have a conversation with your manager, they may not be aware of how their comments are perceived. You never know what someone is dealing with in their life journey. Assume you are the cause, what can you change, then the discussion will be easier.
