New GBS company forming May 1st

Global Business Services forming May 1st. Procurement, EMIT and EMTEC combining into this new organization. Any insights from anyone who is aware of the changes? Are there more layoffs on the horizon ?

GBS = packaged and wrapped with a bow to hand over to HCL.

@lxy EMIT has always had “white glove” support for VPs and up. Why do you think Irving has an entire fully staffed IT group for such a small user base?

I left right after hearing KM saying that outsourcing EMIT help desk to HCL had resulted in “a double-digt improvement in customer satisfaction”. She clearly never had to deal with them over the phone. She must have a personal assistant to take care of those menial details if/when her laptop doesn't work. Those people just don't live in the same world as the regular employees. On the same planet, but not in the same matrix... :D
