There’s an OCC site that list bank closures. It’s

https://www.occ.gov/topics/charters-and-licensing/weekly-bulletin/index-weekly-bulletin.html

They’re closing drive through windows and not hiring enough tellers for locations that have active motor banks…it’s a cluster plan. The whole “Appening” thing is cool and all not everyone wants to use the app. Like someone else said they have to notify you 90 days in advance, sometimes the only “notifying” they do is tell the OCC so it’s sorta on you to check.

If the entire branch is being counted including ATMS, your branch has a large unresolved shortage, typically $10,000 or greater.

It has absolutely nothing to do with your branch being closed..

just tell them to apply for a loan instead

It’s not uncommon. Internal Audit does audit a % of branches every year. Since you mentioned south Texas you are relatively close 2 audit offices. Dallas and San Antonio.

You'll find out 90 days before the close date. They keep individual locations very close to the vest
