If you continue to work for Chase then it's your fault at this point. Mortgage Dept is done, what part of they have tried to eliminate the field hla for years do you not understand? Now they need you because they let go of all HLS and virtual sales...the ones they tried to replace you with!!
No way it's a layoff, those come with short or no notice. Not a full week.
I understand a lot of people in New York got their layoff papers yesterday. Called in to managers offices and told to pack their box. Very sad.
How many thousand will be laid off by Jamie Dimon. He still gets his lucrative salary, benefits, stock options. While the others are shown the door.

take comfort in knowing it's incredibly rare to lay off people on a Monday, let alone give people multiple days in advance. it won't be a happy meeting but you won't lose your job. my two cents
