Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Layoff Targets/Methodology

Once a team has been identified to have RIFs, at Citi, is it common for layoff criteria to be primarily performance ratings? 4s get laid off first, then 3s, then 2s, then 1s?

Or is it more about white males get let go first, then white females, then people of color, etc?

Combo of both?

Did Citi drop their vaccine mandate? It is no longer on job postings.

I'm black, and I have been laid off, along with other blacks and whites, so I don't know where this is coming from.

I think layoffs need to be percentage based. If the Citi work force is 80% men and 20% women, then that should be the layoff percentage. If you need to layoff 100 people, then that layoff pool needs to be 80% men and 20% women. 8 males and 2 females.

Equal work, equal pay and equal risk.

One way or another that imposed ESG mandate percentage will reign true. Caucasians are let go first. Everyone knows it and managers will even say so in private. Now’s the time where “woke” people will chime in with counter rhetoric but we all, even them, knows its true no matter what spin you try to put on it. The new buzz word is equity. Get used to it.
