VSPs being offered in Australia

Either it’s a mandate from JF or T6 platform in Australia has begun its slow death with the demise of ICE coming. Announcements today about 20% of PD, Design and VOME permanent staff to go through VSPs. About mid May for planned exits.

Currently this is Voluntary. If HR do not receive the numbers it will turn to involuntary

@1iun+1lE04TlB Yes, the P703 was the last program developed by PD in Australia. The Ranger is built in Thailand and at MAP, not built in Australia.

Wasn't Ranger the last big program?

What is left of VOME in Australia? All the Assembly and Stamping plants were closed down ages ago.

In 2021 they wanted 3000 and offered 6 months + 6 months and if I remember correctly, only 800+ took it.

25% is a high take rate. Somehow I doubt it. I wonder what the take rate was the last time they offered.

@jlw+1lE04TlB Exactly!
It’s a win/win for both the employee & Ford

12 months and 25% of the salaried workforce would accept. Problem solved.

Sorry to hear. So this AUS action is Voluntarily instead of Involuntary? Globally Ford should do the right thing (copy GM in NA) and offer salaried employees Voluntary Packages with up to 12 months salary and cobra coverage.
