Next 2 weeks critical

Expect more than the initial 1% may be 5% before the month is over. Probably lots in technology locations

Layoffs are just a part of working at a big company? Every few years there are material layoffs, in between smaller layoffs in certain divisions only. Been at Citi 15 years, it is was it is.

I’ve come to expect and resolve myself that layoffs are a part of Citi life, that’s fine. I can cope with that and have taken measures to ensure that even if I am on the chopping block, I’ll survive. What does bother me and many other by reading posts on this site, is mgmt using layoffs as a motivational tool. Using it as a threat to “encourage” you to work longer hours, weekends or partial weekends etc…. I find that often times, yes, it makes people “step in line” with working that way but it also has your employees take the first train out. All in all, I hope that mgmt that I report to doesn’t go down this path as I like working with the people on my team.

This is a stupid post. There’s been way too many people who have posted that the layoffs are over. So that means its true. It also means that this post is just trying to incite panic.
