Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Are there any competent managers left at Dell?

All the good ones seem to be leaving and the ones who are replacing them leave a lot to be desired in every single aspect. I thought this was just an issue with my group but after talking with some people, now I'm starting to think this could be a company-wide problem.

Cybersecurity is full of follower managers, the guy in Ireland is an incompetent and his boss in Texas is too d-mb to see it. It’s tough working for them. Get lost in your work and try not to pay attention, that’s what we do.
The old boy network thrives at dell.

no, just d-mb workers that stay and complain about their managers on layoff.com. If you didn't like it, you would leave..but you are probably too incompetent to get a new job.

why do you think Dell is so successful?

It starts with the hardest working group in the company called the managers.

ive had several amazing managers at EMC and dell, but yeah alot has changed recently. since dell took over, alot that a manager can do to make change or improve things has changed. Dell is so afraid of getting sued that HR wont let managers fire those that need to be.
