Has anyone else noticed that the only people at Cenovus that get promotions are the management? When’s the last time you’ve heard about a regular employee being promoted to say a senior advisor or a senior specialist? I mean outside of HR of course. But seriously, the only ones who ever get promoted are these bone heads at the top who fawn all over each other making fists full of cash while none of us ever get ahead. Sometimes I feel like we out just need to unionize. I know that’s a dirty word but maybe it should be considered. They look after themselves and it’s more and more obvious we need to look after us. They sure won’t.

You are all a bunch of self entitled babies!! I deserve my promotion. I have to whip your as--s to get you to get anything done every day. The only way we know you do anything is to bring you back in the office an monitor every damn hour.

It’s not just the promotions. Inward mobility is pretty much non existent for the rest of the company, yet we have no problem moving a bunch of VPs around to “round them out”. Meanwhile the rest of us have to beg and plead and wait for an opening. Senior leadership taking care of senior leadership once again. I am so tired of busting my bu-t for this group of self promoting and self advancing dill holes.
Love how legacy HSE technical individuals took a demotion in title but managers maintained the Senior Manager titles.
You won’t know because announcements are only done by group. But it’s happening and those who get promoted are doing a good kiss job. We all do but somebody does it better. Free market lol
