The Quiet Quit

I was recently let go in MN after many years with mdlz. To be honest though, I quiet quit several years ago before it was even a thing. During Covid our RDR here in MN was no where to be found, I shouldn't say that, she probably could have been found cowering in her basement, but we as Sales Reps and Merchandisers were supposed to be out on the road hitting the pavement day in and day out with little to no acknowledgement from our leaders. That's when I realized, mdlz doesn't care about us, just the numbers. I know, I should have realized it sooner but I have a family to support so I was all in. Once I had my "aha" moment I began my dissent in to the Quiet Quit realm. It made me so happy to know I was content that no matter what the merchandiser did or didn't do in the store didn't matter to me, because it didn't matter to the rms, rdr ir the dm. If the merch could just go through the motions so could I. I mean, in all reality, our rdr here in MN just pretty goes through the motions as well. She makes a 90k a year to do relatively nothing. We went with out an rdr for the better part of a year, and it made no difference in the business. She is an empty pants suit that warms an at home office chair and cares nothing for the people under her "care." I can only hope that one day karma will visit her in a way she has been to so many people, not just recently with mission one, but also throughout her unimpressive career. For those sales reps that are unlucky enough to stay apart of the tu-d that's unfolding, I only hope that you will find the same relief with the "Quiet Quit" as I did, it's really the only way to stay sane in a completely insane work environment that will unfold in the coming weeks. As my days are numbered here at mdlz I wish you all the best.

She has always been a useless RDR in Minnesota.

Well said! And in complete agreement in the with leadership California too! Management is a bunch of phonies who bark orders from home and no employee morale or engagement either! No wonder no one ever filled out their lame employee engagement survey, complete employee apathy in PCR!

Wow, he's gone for not doing way more than his actual, defined job duties?

Quiet quitting means an employee does only their actual job, and stops picking up others slack, extra duties, etc.

The company can hire more employees to get the job done, or hold the slackers accountable.

This company has relied on the few to carry the many for years. Were all done picking up extra work while others don't do much all day. Last time I checked my services weren't free.

That guy should consider himself lucky to be released from his indentured servitude of working here.
