This is why people “don’t want” to work

An individual puts in effort, time and loyalty in their workplace, and this is what they get. The horrid actions of this investment group are all too common these days. Why would anyone want to work in a culture like this?

I disagree. We were never paid fairly, compared to other retailers. Even if an employee were to just babysit a store, that’s still time, and time is money. Said person can’t leave and go do other things. We were paid a pittance to begin with.

I’ll play Devil’s Advocate. It’s because even more people feel entitled and will do the bare minimum and not work as hard as they’re capable, that companies get into this predicament and have to take drastic measures that unfortunately, impact the hard workers too.
