Desert train crash

That California crash left a big hole in the ground . How fast was it going ? A crew onboard ?

I can’t wait to read the Ntsb report cause of runaway. Not sure why no emergency braking, maybe it was too heavy.

It was a UP runaway...Yermo bound to Long Beach harbor ore train.
Bad brakes..Terrible inspection

Train separated on Cima hill , crew worked to couple 55 cars and lead engine. Train ran away down hill, crashed at more than 110 mph. No crew onboard. No injuries.

I saw one report that no crew was on board at the time it derailed. Did they jump off or was it a runaway? Either way, it's not good for the UP.
