With the latest layoffs, many US knowledgeable people were shown the door. Engineering management have worked for awhile to offshore or move many of the work to Mexico to save cost. Just check the job postings and everything from testing, support, to development work is there. Mexico is especially enticing because of the same time zone and proximity to the San Diego office. All of the other US offices with exception of one is now closed, making everyone remote. It makes a lot of sense for management to start moving more headcounts offshore so there's more for themselves.

Mexico office is alive and well. Expect more hiring there.
