Bye bye Elite. Good luck to anyone working there.
Any guesses what businesses TR will sell next?

IMO, we need to strip down to our essentials - merge ATP with Corporates and untether Legal. One leadership structure to move at scale.
"the innovation labs which has not produced anything of note over the past 6 years."
Remember when they launched the Toronto Technology Centre in 2016??!! HHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH And then the next year, they sunk $100M in improvements!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
You are correct.
TR is being asset stripped in preparation for a larger sale of the entire business. Likely to a PE firm however GPT4 technology will accelerate the carving out of technology costs especially across the innovation labs which has not produced anything of note over the past 6 years.
If you see any VP leave for another role or company and their current role is NOT replaced, then that section is probably for sale. Selling a business takes what? 2 or three years? So it's already in place.
Isn't the sale and subsequent stock split purported to be tax-free for Canada? So you know who profited there!
I personally think the entire company is for sale.
I heard end of May is the target
do we have the timeline by which it will be moved out of the TR?
Probably, Legal solution will be next after E3.
I would think you could move to a different project and stay with TR, but that is essentially changing departments. The other question is are other departments hiring? From what i've seen its been a hiring freeze on most of TR
can you move to different project now and remain in TR?
Is this going to be like the TR to Refinitiv type of spinoff?
Please sell Onesource
How will the Elite spin-off operate? Are the TR employees all moving to the new entity? Will they be chopping up positions?
From marketwatch.com:
"U.S. private equity firm TPG Inc. will acquire a majority stake in Thomson Reuters Corp.'s business management solutions company Elite, valuing the business at $500 million."
What happened w/ Elite? Do you mean 3E?
