Citi likes to fancy itself as edgy but RTO to build culture and relationships is old school thinking. Simply put, major talent looks elsewhere for employment when considering who to work for.

Amigo dont sweat the vets they are old and just drag down the bank. My group meets at the water cooler on 6 and we talk about many thimgs. I agree that Patel is having a great season. We talked to another group on the floor and solved a problem so keep up the talks and doing the great work!!! We are also going to volunteer at the shelter together and so strengthing our bond and doing good in the city!!!!
yeah, he crops up from time to time
I know you vets are bellyaching about returning to the office and i am stating the positive. Hey we might burn 15 - 20 minutes gathering at the watercooler but we are building morale and staying hydrated. We talk about all the hot topics but right now we are getting caught up on cricket. Patel is having a great season and I am very proud as he is from my village. Surely somebody famous has come from your town that makes you proud (rhetorical ... no response needed)
"What are you talking about?" - I think he was trying to make a racist joke about indians. Dot not feather
“ i look forward to talking crickett at the water cooler again. patel is having another keeler year. I am very proud as he is from my village” - - What are you talking about?
If you can work remotely, your job is easily offshored.

Not all managers want to RTO, but all people who want to pressure others to RTO are managers.
Yes, but let's keep it real for a few mins...Citi isn't the only group pulling the RTO mandate...companies pay to buy/rent real estate offices are held in and therefore need to justify those costs somehow. Some can argue that the 3/2 office/remote ratio is an attempt to get with the times...but it still begs the question on how often these companies take a look at themselves/internal processes to keep up with the times and become more efficient. If covid taught us anything, it's that we can an should enhance and leverage technology as a means to stay connected and get things done. No one is saying that offices should be abandoned altogether, just assess the risks and build a better plan using current and up to date factors.
