Thread regarding Fidelity National Information Services Inc. layoffs

The culture needs you to return to office!

Hey team, we need you to return to the office because our giant corporate American culture is dying! It’s not about flexing our power over you, it’s really about creating a sense that you belong with us! Who needs friends or hobbies when you can come join our big corporate family for 8-10 hours a day not including the commute!

Good to see you all enjoyed Ferris Live as much as I did.

Of the many bizarre comments made, the "return to the office" plea -- in a voice and style very similar to some late-night infomercial where the viewer is asked to donate a small amount of money every month to some worthy cause -- was at the top of the list.

As others have already mentioned here, it's kinda tough to return to an office when the company CLOSED the one you used to work in. It's also just a tad disingenuous, given FIS previously was so very vigorously and constantly patting itself on the back for rapidly "pivoting" to the remote WFH model that it almost broke its corporate arm in the process.

FIS loves to talk out of both sides of its mouth - acquire Worldpay, then spin it off. Closes offices, now everyone needs to return to them.

This was the most out of touch thing I have ever heard. Close the damn offices and stop laying people off and making us all live in uncertainty. How much did the new headquarters cost again? You should all be ashamed. Greed is so ugly.

Adored this message, especially how performance is tied to location - like in the office IF YOU ARE NEAR ONE. How does that work???

The place is in shambles --- return to office the least of the problems

Going back to office, before this, the question should be, where is the office that remains open?

There is nothing like office politics to let you know that someone has you in their thoughts.

I work with no one close by. Going into the local office will gain nothing because I will do the same thing there that I do working from home - emails, IM and phone.

You did this FIS. You took away and split up all my co-workers. Me not returning to the office has nothing to do with that.
