I totally understand all those who see quiet quitting as the only solution before leaving here in order to preserve their health.
Is it OK for a manager to raise expectations from those who are still here after each round of layoffs? No it's not. Those who remain here end up in an even more unfavorable position, even more overloaded. I've started to perceive 'surviving' the layoffs as a punishment.
I can't wait to get a new offer, because working here is becoming unbearable.

Hopefully those forced to exit will provide documentation to ease the transition. Helping those you leave behind is the correct moral thing to do.
They will reward you on the future. You never know how the wheel will turn. Those on the bottom will be on top one day.
The poster is venting and most likely because if you lose resources some people have to pick up the slack and it’s tough. With good management leaders will not put the stress on those who were not impacted. If new goals are set quality of life shouldn’t be impacted. There are some managers now saying show your value do your not next which is toxic. Different groups will have different experiences. For instance Doug’s all hands clearly didn’t have a positive impact. He will have another tomorrow and maybe have a more positive tone and message. That may help this employee
