Thread regarding J&J (Johnson & Johnson) layoffs

MedTech layoffs seem inevitable

Heard there will be a shake up in MedTech, many projects frozen, on hold currently, no 2023 budgets locked in place yet, etc.

Exactly. Don't take my word for it, but I think cuts at MedTech are inevitable. The only question is how far are we from those layoffs? Any insights?

Most working for Auris on the surgical robot release are fine. "cut most of R&D" is wildly inaccurate.

Many people let go in Cincinati. Looks like they were targeting the most competent and experienced people who can push back on incompetent management.

Right after the lowest BPM the company ever had for bonuses. But the lesson never said that times were bad during year end and new year town halls.

They had security guards roaming the campus (outside and inside the building).

March 1, 2023 - Massive cuts at Auris today (part of RAD within MedTech).

Hearing that they cut most of R&D. A lot of senior and middle managers gone. Entire teams eliminated.

No email or communication to any part of the org. Just frantically trying to figure out what the heck is going on.

Just when it seemed like leadership could not be more incompetent…

Yes, seems like March 1. Just got an email from management with HR - I know what this is about.
