Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Salaried M Managers/Managers

Do they train the M Managers to not speak to the hourly associates? Or is that Justin this market? Is she better then us? Just because I'm the maintenence person doesn't mean my job is less then his. Maybe they do get paid more, who cares, but your attitude Is trickling down to the store Managers potty, disrespectful, ugly, Lazy mouths. Corporate I know you read this FIX THE ISSUES.

I don't speak to my associates that way. Yes indeed some MM will bypass the associates. It's something that they need to work on, bc, honestly, that would be the only TRUE way to see if mgrs. are doing their job... Also, most people fire themselves due to tardies/attendance. If you are feeling "targeted" call Global Ethics and file a complaint.

uummm Nope not a teen reply.. Rather an old man who as seen a lot over the years. Everything in what I wrote is spot on. They treat you the way they do because they can. And p-o rolls down hill. Your local managers get cussed at and screamed at way more than you can imagine. So its only natural they would treat you the way mommy and daddy treat them. When one of you cries or whines they all laugh at you when they are in the office. Once a manager complained to me how the local managers got treated but then got mad at me when I said that sounded like how they treat us. Most humans are very selfish and treat each other like children even when they are 60. So don't be surprised that your local Sam's feel like kindergarten.

Sounds like another teen B.S. reply. Seriously Managers, respect your people.
Work with us when we're down without the bull. OK?

Ha! Yes they train them in much the way you are trained in a CBL. They answer all the questions right and voila ! They are trained. The question is does home office care enough to discipline them when the hurt your feelings? No ! In reality home office and thus each level of management downwards including teamleads are taught to see you the hourly associate as a liability. They focus on getting rid of the most costly associates from the time they hire in. If they think for any reason they are not making maximum profit off you then you are a target. Generally but not always the long timers are costing more per hour thus the need to get rid of them unless they are being truly useful. After the numbers side of things rolls in the personal opinion side. If you clash in any way with a manager including he does not like your hair or you wont do personal favors then you are moved higher up the liability list. One in a great while but only once in a great while an individual may get fired who actually should get fired but mind you that is purely do to accident !
Now , the way they treat you is reflected in the notion you are already on your way out the day you walk in. They do not care if you leave ! Once in a while there will be a person so skilled in suck up man ship that when they threaten to leave Every manager in the building bows down to them and begs them to stay , granting to them even more lavish treatment than they already had. Again those folks are the exception, do not think you can become that way too if you are not already that person. People who make it 30 years have done so through so much awful stuff it would not even believable if I were to describe some of the p-o they have endured. I know a person right now that just hit 30 years , she was in personnel til that job was done away with, she has endure name calling and insults from management like you would not believe. She has been called stupid right to her face on multiple times. She endures because she needs a job. She works at a club about an hour north of Columbus Ohio.
They speak to you the way they do because they can. And there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. ....
