EUC Spin off? Merger or acquisition?

The conversation these days is that EUC will soon be operating on its own within VMWare while focusing on only the main accounts. The writing is on the wall that EUC is being spun off in the near future, perhaps sooner then one could expect maybe?

What I am reading now is that everyone is adopting the term "merger" when they refer to this topic which makes me think if there is more details about the "extension" that was announced in a few days ago.

Not trying to start a rumor speculation, but what if there are "changes" to the deal besides from the timeline of which they originally intended to close?

To be honest EUC doesn’t need me investment and its very much profitable just take money out of it and invest in other BUs and EUC will do just fine ……HT should worry about other BUs

Heard a from a big customer today that HT flat out told their VP in a schedule meeting that after the "merger" they will not be "investing" in EUC any more... so do the math!

At the hall hands sales calls EUC and Carbon Black leaders came up and said they weren't going anywhere.

If it is owned by private equity then it would be very bad for EUC.
Culture would totally get destroyed and everything would just be to maximise the profitability and no RSUs.

Who is buying EUC? Heard EUC is going to be sold to a private equity farm.
