I was reviewing the pension policy today. It looks like a lump sum option is no longer offered to terminees. I guess they are trying to slow attrition. When did this change?

Also over 50, not NRE, and no lump sum option in pension calculator.
It's law.
4 months ago I left and it was available to me
Calculator is not the most straight forward, better example was if you work 5 years your lump sump will be X% of salary, or 10 yrs etc. I had someone they made us pip at 14 yrs and he said his lump sum was roughly 2 times his salary. Havent messed with it but thats closest info I had for you.
Run the pension calculation so you get lump sum distribution 3 months after last day. You have to fiddle with date in the online calculator.
Id--t. Employees such as this poster need to move on.
I believe it is still available.
It shows for me on the pension model program you can but if 50 that option no longer shows. So, looks like one would need to quit by 50 if wanting the lump.
You have to run a calculation and change the payment 100% lump.
