MEGA makes good product, I just think it's hard to compete with the omnipresent Lego.
FP was a great high quality company before Mattel bought them. Thanks to Mattel they are now cheap garbage. Mattel you only have your self to blame for ruining them. I know, truth hurts.
MEGA need to go first. They are struggling more and more every year.
I still cannot believe that FP has not been sold for scraps at this point. The IP is useless, the innovation non-existent, it's a dumpster fire that went out years ago and everyone just pretends that the smoldering is just pollution from downstate. Dismantle it, sell off the campus and lets cut our loses already. Tur FP into the new Radica!

Good luck, Montreal! This is horrible way to do it, making people wait. Announcing layoff will 'begin now and conclude at end of the month'. From what I've heard, this was not a "big layoff". This could've been done in 1-2 days, you don't stretch it out over a week.
Montreal office is stressed. Told we would be impacted but no word yet 😫
Wait for Monday! Lots of people out this week with Monday off. Some areas have kids out of school this week.
I think they are waiting for peeps from some of the rest so they can add to the list. They might be open to cutting more. If I had to count it's not as extensive as it thought it would be. Maybe more deductions will be made next week. I have yet to hear of any VPs only a director. A lot old timers are being replaced or retired out. Which brings up some sort discrimination right? Def not worth being loyal anywhere. Everyone for themselves.
What teams were cut in half? What roles were eliminated? Does it surprise anyone this management team does not communicate well! They are looking forward to mingling with movie stars for upcoming events. Hasbro has lots of IP driven entertainment, but they chopped 1000 people. We understand entertainment driven stuff can drive brand equity and sales, but when does add to the bottom line??? Good years in this company is just d-mb fU@$”))ing luck.

In 2018 the company was transparent about #s and % of layoffs. Not this time around. Seems quite random. Some teams not impacted, others cut in half.
