Does anyone know how the job grades at ub transfer to us bank?

No they will cap it if you are at max of your grade range.
If USB salaries are 2O% less than UB salaries, will they cut salaries of the retained UB emoloyees
(Current UB salary *.8)=USB salary.

I don’t think HR knows the answer to this. There is significant overlap in grades so you could put someone into a low compa 14 (for example) or a high compa 13 at the same salary. I suspect they will try and align bonus targets to make that decision.
