Thread regarding J&J (Johnson & Johnson) layoffs

MedTech layoffs happening now

I was informed yesterday of "restructuring" of Johnson & Johnson's MedTech company. My job is gone, as well as the majority of the people on a software development project that was ongoing for over 2-3 years and involved people from all over America, Europe, and East Asia.

We saw the writing on the wall when they "froze" contractors a few weeks back. The reaper has returned for thousands more. Good luck out there!

New like this will not be widespread in the press - remember we are not in a recession....

The architect of the hardest hitting MedTech restructure (Digital Solutions, 90% laid off) is some id--t from oil & gas who literally compares employees to workers on an oil rig (patients are the oil rig), still has never stepped foot in a real OR, and has zero technical knowledge of any kind — medicine or software. JNJ, you are now a laughingstock to thousands of the most influential and promising minds in medical technology.

It's all over medtech. Lots of business were cut down 50%. Entire platforms were dissolved.
