I guess the other shoe has dropped. Hearing layoffs are underway. Not getting what they promised you? Sad situation indeed.

This isn’t about India, Limerick, or Biden. ADI is putting $1 Billion into Beaverton expansion. Beaverton is where the jobs are going. Don’t randomly blame other countries or the President. ADI even published an announcement on it.

Moving a lot of jobs to india too. They tell the employees that they care about them but you see it slowly moving.

Any specific department they'll be laying off?

They spend $700 million USD to expand Limerick and to employ about 600 jobs there but cut back 250 employees in Wilmington. I blame this on Biden's chip act policy and relationship with the EU. The Mems fab is temporary, they'll likely move all products out of Wilmington. Anyone bidding to stay in Wilmington have low self confidence in the overall job market. There's plenty of job that will pay you more.

I worked their 20 years and they closed down Cambridge without bat of an eye
They also let go most of the fab operators, very few went went to Wilmington. They moved the good of boy network
back to Wilmington.
Not surprised the American way

Is anybody really surprised by this announcement? The good old boy network at ADI has finally been exposed and Maxim is cleaning house. Almost all of the top management positions are now occupied by Maxim individuals. In addition to the bloated salaries of managers and engineers who have held on at ADI for years, MA is only second to CA with respect to exceptionally high manufacturing costs. The Wilmington Wafer Fab will be reduced to just an R&D lab now. All manufacturing will be relocated to a more financially profitable location/s in the US. Unfortunately, the operators will pay the biggest price with respect to this downsizing. Another one bites the dust! Snickering with a smile!!!!!!

They will start terminating positions before 2025. Waiting to get their lucky 100 then will speed the process of closing some areas and offering early packages due to economic uncertainty.

Yes they are downsizing the fab to all members fab. Management is terrible. 250 jobs down the drain because of horrible Management and employees that don't care anymore. I'm one of them and can't wait to leave. 25 years with this company. It used to be a good place to work.
