Does anyone know how Citi notifies employees of layoffs? Specifically, those being laid off? Anyone's help is appreciated!

It should be a zoom invite with Jane so that she can thank you for your sacrifice so she can have that 2 million dollar boost in pay for herself.
Zoom invite. In my case it was just the upper management guy on the meeting request, so I kinda knew
Amen to that! I'm not worried. God hasn't given us a spirit of fear. Bless you and your future endeavors in retirement.
I meant to say why you aren’t upset not why you are upset
The person working 100% remote that had a zoom call scheduled for last week.
Just my advice don’t show them that you were upset. Tell them thank you smile I wouldn’t give them satisfaction that it bother me in the least. The only thing I’m gonna miss is a steady paycheck but I’ll be just fine and so will you. Believe me acting like you were OK and don’t care about being laid off is a very satisfying feeling you’re taking the power away from them and making them wonder why you are upset. Maybe they’ll look inside themselves, but doubtful. I even said to my manager, did you actually think I was going to be upset? I wish I had a tape of it
There are other companies out there that are hiring. Some people act as if Citi is the only place on the globe that will ever employ anyone. Also, who says you gotta stay in the sector. Forget the financial umbrella, go be a PM, tech person, whatever in the energy sector, medical sector and so on. I never understood that…..”I’ve looked and other banks aren’t hiring” or “other banks are just as bad”…..STOP LOOKING AT OTHER BANKS!!!! Spread those wings baby, increase your job search landscape is what I say.
I too, work 100% remote. On Tuesday, I was sent the dreaded Zoom invite. I couldn't attend, but I believe that's what they'll be notifying me about in our meeting rescheduled next week.
On our team, manager/director put 1-1 on their calendar. In the meeting was director and one down ( no HR), and they were notified in that meeting.
I work hundred percent remote. I was told same everyone was being notified of their raise. My boss asked to do a zoom. I knew something was up then luckily I’ve been saving since I’ve been working here over 30 years and didn’t need to work anymore so when she was told I was being laid off I told them thank you very much and have a huge smile on my face I was happy and told her she did me a favor. I am sure that took the wind out of her sails. Even afterwards she was asking some of my coworkers how I was. I really think she wanted me to be upset I wasn’t. Early retirement.
This is a very odd site. Everyone looks but won't provide details. Be anonymous if you're worried about it, I guess, but I thought we were all in this together.
