Seems like AskTMS does everything that a TMS Generalist does. Does that mean they are getting rid of those positions down the road?

Exactly. They are making a buyout more attractive. Just like they did when Amazon bought it. That could mean going out of business as well. For example maybe Kroger or Publix would buy if the price was right. That's why they are tanking it. They absolutely have golden parachutes set up already. That is the big picture. There are CEO's that specialize in this sort of thing going from one company to the next.

this is to the reply earlier- They are not tanking the biz on purpose like you put it lol. they see the big picture and you dont. which is why you dont get paid a living wage.
they are making the company run on bare minimum to make the profits look even better and the company overall more attractive. Last time they did that? when they sold to amazon. the goal for the top is to get the fk out just like you, except they make money and you dont so it matters (sorry those are the rules everywhere, just deal with it or move on)
maybe 12 years ago they tried to get rid of the PBS job in floriduh region. they had the stl/astls doing the work.they hated it and complained about the workload(this was before much of the software upgrades that we have today).within a year they reinstated the position but to a lesser extent...
The TMS or PBS was always a useless job anyway. ASTL should be filling that role. ASTL is a needless role too really.
Absolutely it does. It my metro we had 3 TMSS's now 1 TMS oversees all the stores. Pretty soon 1 TMS will over see multiple metros with help of the Ask TMS tickets etc. I also believe they are tanking the business on purpose. If they go bankrupt they don't have to pay any of their outstanding rent etc. Same thing happens at big corporate businesses all the time. Usually right around the time a new CEO is brought in to gut the company.
No it is just a way to add more people that don't work cut the tm's that take care of customers and add overhead that has nothing to do I think they want us to go out of bussiness.
