Severance is based on a grid of years of service and grade level. For instance if you have been here 2 years and you are a grade 25 you'll get 3 weeks. If you are a grade 29+ it's 11 weeks. Maxes out at 26 weeks no matter what grade or years of service (not including the executives of course).

Look up severance policy on spark. It tells you how much severance you are entitled to based on GL and tenure.
Not all are getting notice—was told by those in my division they were let go immediately after the meeting. May depend upon the regulations in the sector you operate in.
