Some people are convinced that there will be cuts soon. I hope not, but I'm still preparing in case it happens to be true.

The lazy and combative employees tend to be the ones who abuse DEI and don’t actually contribute any value. They’re only tolerated because they have HR on speed dial.
They are already cutting people.

Sad but true. The amount of bad behavior tolerated at this company is stunning. I've never seen anything like it in my career. No wonder it seems like the tenure at this company is either less than five years or 20+ years. Sane people figure out by year 5 this place only promotes narcissists.
Ask yourself if the company is doing as well as they telegraph.
The lazy and combative employees are golden there and won't be let go, ever. If you're a newbie, you'll see who gets let go....the lifers and it's called "retirement" or "pursuing outside opportunities". Too bad useless AVPs are a dime a dozen there....
