Hearing lot of chatter of another big round of layoffs - upwards of 7000 people and a sale of company to announced in Q2. This is after April layoffs already in the works

I think it’s funny how people get on here and post things like “Sale is imminent! Layoffs are imminent!”. The only people who would truly know or not going to be on here posting anonymous stuff.

Who will do the work for our customers when 7000 people are let go?
SF has to cut $500MM in cost. The 7K of heads plus the ones in April should lighten the load considerably and sweeten things for a potential buyer, which the street speculates could be the likes of IBM, Oracle, or Accenture. Get ready for interesting times at your expense.
Is the rumor a whole business sale, or selected pieces?
I just hope the sale is above my average cost basis on this stock.
There was a handful of finance layoffs a couple weeks ago. I am hearing rumblings of more layoffs across the company in the near future. Haven't heard anything on a sale but wouldn't be surprised if rumor was legitimate. But like you said make sure your life jacket is on and be ready to jump.
