Verizon has issues and if you're here you likely hate it or you're looking for any warning signs of a layoff. That being said, their benefits are pretty good...best in class even. Don't be fools and use them while you have them. Take that time off (you get a lot), use those discounts and take advantage of whatever else is relevant to you. These corporations are garbage and will throw you out to the dogs so don't hesitate. Call out sick, use those 40 hours. Take that long vacation even if it's just sitting at home relaxing. Many companies out there may pay better or be less toxic but the benefits at VZ are top notch despite the company going down the toilet fast....so take advantage in case you jump or get laid off.

@2lyw+1m7yKzSz If you have no skillset, you need to change that. You have no excuse to remain non-hirable with all of the benefits VZ currently offers (trainings, LinkedIn/Harvard Certifications, and tuition reimbursement.) Get the ball rolling!
Call out sick?! LOLOLOL what company do you work for?
This post is right on. All big companies (and small ones ) have issues. If you talk to people that work for any fortune 100 company they will all tell you what a sh-t show they are. That’s the nature of business but Verizon has top notch benefits even compared to industry peers. You might be able to find equal or slightly better benefits but most companies are going to be worse by a long shot.
Well good for you people that were able to move on and find something equivalent or better but most of us have no real skillset or qualifications. I really don’t want to flip hamburgers.
Best to keep pay and benefits private. Hans will cut our benefits at the drop of a hat.
I was part of a RIF last year and found a position with benefits that are equal and in some ways better. Moving away was a great thing for me, even if it was not good at the time.
Ms Postit note prob wrote this. She sucks
The company is going down the toilet fast. Lol
Benefits are one of the best in any industry!
