Asking for a friend… Is it common as part of a RIF to receive a skip level meeting request with your C level out of the blue? About 10 people on invite, all likely mid level management. Does this indicate they made “the list”?

Layoffs usually happen on Thursday’s. They don’t have to, but they usually do. It could be that their leadership is getting cut so they’re getting filled in/updated. C suite could be doing a pulse check on what’s going on morale wise.
