I have been here for several years and I can say that the culture has never been worse than it is now. I doubt there are many who would disagree.

Layoff in Waco this week was sneaky and rotten. Just when I thought Sr Leadership was making progress being transparent. People work hard here, but unlike other places i have worked, there is a lack of standardization and disconnect of real group communication, synergies and agenda. And only last month or so there was a campaign to address "the retention problem" even in light of months of onsite job fairs and hiring. Unreal. And the promise of making the Waco site a leading organization was just a lie as I watch the responsibilities bleed off to Greenville. A betrayal of effort and a big disappointment.
It's go go go 90mph 60hr weeks and when the manager doesn't remember something isn't done and it goes on the plane. They blame the techs even when the tech shows proof they were told it wasn't ready, then it's no big deal, just fix it and do it right this time. Very toxic, but they all are...I honestly came here with the thought that they were not like this because I've had dealings with other sites and they were fabulous. Everything laid out in front of you oh and actual training, not this I do it this way cr-p. There are zero standards here and I'll be honest I don't use this family friend much but he's in Congress and I think it's time to release the kraken. It's time for true accountability through a congressional inquiry.
I work in ethics and I agree. Very shady and I would go so far as to say down right corrupt to the core. There are so few investigators that when a case is finally processed it is so old that finding evidence to validate the claim is hard and almost impossible. It is akin to investigating a homic--e scene after it has been contaminated. Any evidence you find is inadmissible. I think this is by design. When we do find evidence that validates a claim against a higher up they typically just get a counseling session with HR. In other words, a slap on the wrist. Nothing meaningful. The few employees that do file a claim somehow are laid off a few months later as part of a RIF. What typically happens is that the clique of leaders communicate with one another on their personal devices or offsite so that there is no record. Proving retaliation is extremely difficult. However, there is definitely the existence of patterns of behavior. Unfortunately, it rarely meets evidence thresholds.
Tech jobs are plentiful. Especially in aerospace and defense, get out of that company while you can. There is no future there.
Was one of the Viasat spinoffs that were sold to L3Harris a few months, and already I have a tendency to agree with you. Communication had been terrible as to what they plan to do with us. Our severance is in jeopardy the way they worded it when we were sold, so many of us have no clue whether we will actually get it or not. As a result, many are jumping ship for more secure jobs. Just a mess..
