Ricoh and Toshiba, a match made in… well let’s just say it’s a good match.

Wonder how many will be fired on the Ricoh side through this “optimization.” Care to take a percentage guess?

From what I've read this mostly a merger of the manufacturing departments. It looks like Toshiba is a dealer network without a direct channel. I would expect it to be more like the Savin, Guestetner days. Could be wrong, but I don't think as a sales rep there is much to be concerned about. Except there will most likely be a new group of accounts that will be off limits to the Ricoh reps.

I wonder if this will go better or worse than Ikon?

Respective Sales divisions kept separate? I wouldn’t bet on it.

Sales most likely starts to merge next Fy. Most likely Ricoh takes Toshiba Enterprise accounts and farms out both Ricoh and Toshiba mid market to dealers or inside sales.

Look for the service teams to merge first.

Overall probably good merger for both companies in the long run.

Looks like sales organization will be kept separate for now.
