Can an LL4 just transfer a GSR or LL6 or even LL5 to anywhere in his or her dept. just on a whim or is clearance and rational from Personnel needed ? How does this work?

LL6+ are able to create 'people first' tickets through the 'position management' option in Life@Ford. As far as I understand, there's minimal review by HR, and the move 'just happens on the date they requested it to
Never say never. And never believe anything management says.
Just claim that your LL4 is racist or that you were mis-gendered or offended by not being addressed by your preferred pronouns.
Get the LL4 moved
@2hyy be careful with thinking relocating to a profitable area made you safe.
If the LL5 and above already had you accounted for on a hit list, moving doesn’t remove you from the list.
Observed receiving LL5 of people on a hit list getting hosed as they truly wanted and needed the people, but you see for them to be able to keep them the original LL5 had to pick another people to cut. Being unwilling to do so and being more connected the original hit list was enacted.
Heck even LL5s can do this. After SIRP last year, many of us got "moved" against our will. Some to places as a holding pattern for the upcoming layoffs.
I saw the writing on the wall with my move and then found a new team in a profitable area. Good luck to all of us.
Yes. Your manager can structure their team as needed. Why would you think otherwise?
Sorry but at ford it’s made very clear to you if you have a seat at the table or not. Also, the managers and above do a good job of destroying your character behind your back and any chance of advancement if you don’t have that seat. It’s your choice to stay or go.
Yes they can do whatever they want. The only time when HR gets involved is if one of the people is a relative. Even then it is just to have a paper trail.
One LL4 always managed to move his LL6 wife out of harms way. As soon as that arrogant jerk retired his wife got clipped in the next layoff. His wife was an alcoholic who had zero skills but always managed to claim credit and shift blame.
I was on loan to several different departments for the last 2 years. My PRs were all good so no issues getting along with my team or making waves. I would show up and do my job and go home. I got let go on Aug 22 which worked out for me.
I tried several times to get it all aligned and was told all official moves were on hold. In the end I was a token to balance out the layoffs.
They can do what ever they want. Best moves were the LL4s putting their buddy team in place.
I used to work for a manager ...She was able to promote all of her girls once she got to a position of power. She is gone but her legacy lives on.
