It’s obvious that the group planning RTO has never been a part of a cross functional team at the Bank. We are mandated to return to the crime-ridden Plaza location while those in the technology and engineering department will continue to work out of Meridian. We are literally driving into the Minneapolis location to dial into meetings with our TOS team members and partners. We were told that we could not self organize and meet with them at any other location but Plaza. Additionally teams are being pressured to ‘call them up’ and ask for them to meet us downtown. These individuals were hired at a specific location per their contract. If changes to location need to be made then that is between that person and their hiring manager.
Word on the street is that RTO metrics will be used to rate employee performance and compensation via badge swipes and reporting. Those that fail to meet RTO mandates will be placed under remediation and ultimately let go for not fulfilling work obligations. This is a strategic way to forgo paying employees a severance for ‘poor performance’.
