It seems as if they are usually done the morning of the RIF vs the night before. Thoughts?

When I went through this, I got an e-mail the night before telling me that my mnager needed to talk to me.
When I was in retail and they did layoffs in 2020 we got an invite the night before, however this was when they offered employees positions and severance.
When I got the call is one a call the day of in the am before 9 no invite just a call
Praying for those stressing 🥺
What about manager 1 on 1 in the AM. (Usually on another day) Is that something to be worried about?
Sometimes it is hard to tell if the invite is for the RIF call or the survivors call.
VBG - 8 of us received invites tonight. Good luck to all
I went through this and received the request the night before. Nothing tonight.
For regular RIFs that's how it works. For big company wide changes this happens.
Did you get a meeting request? I was impacted once; received my invite the morning of, around 7:30 for an 8:30 meeting. I have heard they like to communicate with anyone impacted by noon - but have seen it done once years ago around 2 pm. So who knows - especially for VCG and the all hands with Sampath at 11 EST. Announcements could follow they meeting if there are any, or be made Thursday am. All speculation. Hoping this is not the case.
