Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Favorite truck? Is that what anybody would ask Bill Ford in a TH? Ridiculous!

Who would ask that question to Bill Ford, besides this woman, with all the issues in the company? Is nobody interested anymore if Ford is going to do layoffs, outsourcing, reorg? What about which markets Ford is retiring from, the price wars with Tesla and BYD, why are we keeping producing BEVs when the company is losing $60K in each of them?

TH are becoming more and more of a circus. More old videos, especially from Farley and Lawler ensuring shareholders the company is doing fine. More lies, more silly questions, more scripting, more failed attempts of Farley to look smart. If we know that minerals for the batteries are scarce, why are we doubling down in BEVs? Isn't it proof enough that the company's strategy is wrong?

Yeah the plants in the audience have been a long running thing. I sat in on one of the Hackett town halls. During the Q&A I was shocked when I was singled out with, that lady has a question, I was who me? And had to make up a question. It turns out that I, a lowly GSR, had been mistaken for a LL5 (plant) who also had blonde hair in a bob cut.

Town Halls are sounding more and more like Key&Peele skits.

Farley is still rattled by the MAP bathrooms. In the GTH, he mentioned them again. However, one person did ask him to share his vision of the future of the plant. Could not believe Farley chose to focus on "better facilities" including bathrooms, parking lots and food in the vending machines. WEAK. The guy was really trying to get at UAW layoffs. The emperor has no clothes.

@owi+1mMV1Ahd A plant in the audience? They got a whole farm, a fricking forest in there. The last real interaction I saw in a TH was when a guy described the awful situation with the bathrooms at MAP. Maybe that question rattled Farley, he looked bad there, and since then, the scripting has reached B movie levels. The acting still sucks! It is time to change the CEO act, send Farley home with the Golden Raspberry Award and bring a real engineer.

This is what you call a plant in the audience. They finally figured that out at least.

I'd put Jay Leno's or Tom Monaghan's car collections against his any day....

BF performance at the GTH was beyond tone deaf and ridiculous. He has so much money and so many cars just massive dozens of cars that he has to store everywhere so many cars he can't keep track of them he's just so rich. Now about those cuts in September.....

No way someone this d-mb and happy about working for Ford would post on this site. Either this is a Ford corporate effort or it's someone just trolling.

I found the town hall informative with a hint of fun, which obviously was the point of the favorite truck question. The video clips of each of our divisions top leadership really showed us the highlights of the Ford+ plan and where we are headed. Again, our leaders explained the subscription/data business model to us in detail. The rationale should be apparent to everyone now.

I also appreciated Jim Farley's tongue in cheek moment when asked about the am radio deletion being reversed and him agreeing it was not originally a good decision.

Despicable that they'd hold a staged townhall. Talk about adding insult to injury...

The hand fed questions are obvious. They completely ignore the real questions.
