Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

Spartanburg SC Store Update

We just had an emergency meeting and our SD just said that about 30% of us would be laid off because of the boycotts. We were encouraged to explore other jobs but with the economy I'm nervous. Anyone else hearing anything?

I'm in Phoenix and the store is empty. We also had the emergency meeting, they didnt mention the boycott but they did say that if business continues to be slow then hours will be cut and possible job losses.

Our store has just a fraction of normal business, they are cutting back hours but no mentions of layoffs yet.

Not sure to make of your SD's warnings. The boycott is quite serious - pride month hasn't even started yet. Still, it's more likely hourly TMs will lose hours than actual layoffs.

Sure they did.... If you miss sales we will cut back hours. we didn't lay anyone off when people were making bathrooms political and we surely wont over this nonsense.
