If the leadership thinks that cuts will solve the accumulated problems in this company, I think they are making a big mistake and there will be even more problems after these layoffs. I am still safe, but I am sending resumes because I don't have any hopes that anything will be better for those who remain here. I feel sorry for those who have lost their jobs, but good employees don't have a future at Verizon anyway.

I’m not part of the cut and I still have anxiety about my future here. When will my department be next?!
Pfff there’s a lot more cuts coming a ton more. All mid and lower management are being pan fried. You realize they have 33k union employees doing no work right now??
This is the new era. You don't need to know what you are doing in corp America today. Today, companies simply hire outside consultants to tell them how to do their jobs. To top it off when they drive the business down, instead of all hands on deck to figure out other ways to improve, the easy way out is to cut people as it is the quickest way to show Wall St that they are still green. This is the new world and it is not going anywhere.
