Pension Bridges

Has anyone heard of anything relating to offers being given to bridge pensions?

I haven’t heard of anything in a several years and was wondering if they have stopped doing that altogether.

Last widespread pension bridge was in 2007.

Some people are more equal than others. The LL5+ get pension bridges unless they make a big stink about getting targeted. Nearly all know in advance that they are being cut. There are some who don’t pay attention and only realize later that they were told.

SIRP'ed in August, worked 75% of my career (~22 years) with Ford and was booted out with 25-30% of the total amount I would have earned had I been able to get closer to 30 years. I am to blame for losing out on a bit as I didn't contribute the first 10 years. But it is galling to me that I was a good employee who got the short end of the stick, like many, because of my pension and salary. I hope my friends who got to stay get their full amounts. I will never buy Ford as a consumer, they did a lot of folks dirty. Meanwhile Farley gets $20M+ a year while cheating rank and file folks for a pension they worked all their lives for. Fire me if I am a bad performer, but it was not about that.
