Thread regarding Thomson Reuters layoffs

I'm completely burnt out

They expect unrealistically too much from us.

Me too soon I will face some depression...when I joined the company I was most scared about dealing with the clients it turned out as most happy part of my day to day activities. Apart of this crazy leadership even if I am already lost with their next steps (they do not even get that is hard to follow them) there is plenty of people inside the company who take advantage of "lack of their own knowledge , this is what they claim to be" - educate yourself if you want to do the job -never too late trust me - and stop using others to do your job as you do not even know how can you mentally destroy someone else and took away all the motivation. Wish this type of could at least take an hour a day, this will benefit them and others around them. Time to quit rather than working with this low level ehhh

Sorry to hear that really, me too, but it comes the time when we have to relize that environment we are in is no longer good for our health/happiness etc..like with every relationship it should end if there is no effort from both sides ...

Stop working so hard. The company sets employees up for failure. They don’t pay enough for you to care.

That’s sad to hear. This is not the company I once knew.
I hope you can push back. The company seems to have leaders who cannot stand up and look after their workers too. They are the yes people, who say the right things to climb the greasy pole but pile the pressure on the people who actually do the work. Sometimes I do wonder how much benefit they bring to the company.

There is a world beyond Thomson Reuters, but appreciate various factors make it challenging for people to just leave.
