Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Who Really Fired BS?

This weak and uncaring board would not be the real force to have BS fired for wanting to split Intel. The financial institutions would have seen the writings on the wall and know that splitting is the only way forward. Then who is the real force that fired him? It's an illogical decision, like buying all those Israeli startups.

I think a split is inevitable… the announcement of such a split needs to happen ASAP for survival…

@1idr
For one thing, splitting would make Intel stop being the competitor of everyone. This alone could prevent a foundry business from taking off. The foundry can still make chips for Intel as its first customer. It's not that different from now.

Does it matter? He left - this is what Intel needed.
Now, what to do

What would splitting even get you today ? Please explain. Its useless to split it right now. One cannot survive without the other.

BS was just a placeholder while they waited to get a proper CEO. Just looked bad to be interim for so long
