Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Any single area where Intel is leading?

Looks like in chips, AMD better.

Looks like we do not have AI to compete to Nvidia

Looks like in fabric, tmsc bear us badly.

Looks like in GPU's we are not leading.

Is there any single market that we dominate?

Are we f-c*Ed?

We seem to be 5 to 10 years behind competitors and that assume we flawlessly execute which seems impossible.

In the last 10y I have seen countless PowerPoints on "how we will win", but not once did I see a "how we won" presentation

Intel bloviating about packaging leadership is a sad joke. TSMC is already selling better solutions to actual customers and Intel is just making PowerPoint slides.

This is a good question to ask during the next all-hands, or better yet, the next shareholder meeting.

Intel leads in:

  1. Arrogance
  2. Announcing products it doesn't have
  3. Grifting for government tax breaks
  4. DEI
  5. Process for the sake of process, not results
  6. High cost producer
  7. Highest HC per dollar generated in sales and income
  8. Highest failure rate and wasted money on acquisitions.
  9. Highest paid workers relative to productive output.

Delivering 18A ahead of schedule. Jensen Huang also had positive comment on Intel 18A test chip recently. More customers will come to Intel.

None of that matters since Intel has an order of magnitude lead in incompetent DEI hires and managers.

In mobile Apple wipes Intel provides a can of whoop @ss

In X86 sever AMD provides a can of whoop @ss

In graphics AMD and Nvidia provides a can of whoop @ss

In silicon logic technology and manufacturing TSMC provides a can of whoop @ss

In design ecosystem and IP TSMC provides a can of whoop @ss

The only place Intel is competitive marginally is x86 client / mobile and only thru past scale and installed base. This is like GM, inferior really in everything but still got business.

Pat and the BoD seems to forget that ten years ago AMD, Nvidia, Apple and TSMC all had lagging designs and not direct competitors. Now they drawf Intel in capability, scale, technology, business and most of all money and superior leadership.

Total FUBAR and realty distortion at Intel
