Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Layoffs tomorrow? June 6th

Usually the layoffs seem to be the first Tuesday, this is the last month of Q2 so… rumor here and elsewhere was that they were coming in June. Anyone know? I saw only $15MM in layoffs listed for this quarter (<100 people) but not sure my info is still accurate.

Any tips on how to get added to the layoff list, other than not meeting expectations? O:-)

Why layoff when you can just continually make it a worse and worse place to work until you drive out anyone who made the mistake of being engaged?

Latest news is no layoffs, leadership would rather just torture you with their incompetence.

Not a peep for me either, I had seen a slide saying “before end of quarter” so it’s still possible but hopefully unlikely…

No layoffs but Simon Indge is still the worst leader in the industry.

Haven’t heard peep about layoffs. The firm can layoff as many people as they choose if they feel it will help with the bottom line. However, that is not the core issue with efficiency at Schwab. Trying to get your work done with the existing applications and tools is like working in the Stone Age. Unbelievable how slow, disconnected and gap ridden our processes are. Step outside and drive a Tesla or hail an Uber or order a meal at a fast food restaurant and you see how things could be done. Not apples to apples comparison of course but we are very slow in advancing the way we do business. Exhausting!
